My Pink Nightmare Body Scrub

I know what you’re thinking….what in the hell is up with the name?!  LOL stick with me folks.

It’s a family tradition in our home that every Christmas Eve we watch the 1954 film White Christmas starring Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney (George’s aunt), and Vera-Allen while my husband makes Christmas Eve dinner that he begins preparing at noon.  This very detailed and labor intensive meal consists of prime rib, asparagus with homemade Hollandaise sauce, German spaetzle, porcini brown gravy and scratch biscuits.  Not to mention, the ever flowing Mimosa’s and desserts!  https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0047673/

On Christmas Eve 1997 after we had consumed the exquisite meal my lover had prepared and White Christmas had come and gone, hubby got ahold of the remote and began flipping through the channels.  All of a sudden he stopped and let out this incredible roar of a laugh and yelled, “Honey get your ass in here!” (isn’t he romantic).  On the screen was this little boy named Ralphie who is about 10 years old and standing at the top of the staircase wearing a pink bunny suit that his Aunt Clara had made him for Christmas; we had found A Christmas Story!  https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0085334/

One very profound line in this movie comes from Ralphie’s father who stated an undeniable fact once he saw Ralphie in this get-up, “he looks like a pink nightmare”.  Indeed he did.
